Daughters of Wales Project
✨ Calling All Women of Wales ✨
I’m excited to announce a new photography project close to my heart—Daughters of Wales. This project is dedicated to capturing the diversity, resilience, and strength of women across our beautiful country.
Through a series of photographic portraits, Daughters of Wales will explore the rich cultural, social, and personal landscapes that define the Welsh experience for women today.
My aim is to showcase not only the beauty and strength of women but also to celebrate their essential roles in shaping the community, heritage, and future of Wales.
I’m looking for women from all walks of life to be a part of this project. Whether you’re a mother, an artist, an activist, a farmer, a teacher, or someone whose story is unique to your own journey—I want to hear from you. Every portrait will tell a personal story, while also highlighting the common threads that unite us all as women in Wales.
The final body of work will aim to be compiled into a book and/or exhibition, aimed at amplifying women's voices and perspectives.
If you're interested in being part of Daughters of Wales and sharing your story, I’d love to connect. Please reach out via direct message or email to get involved.
Let's celebrate the women of Wales, their strength, and their stories. 💫

Project Goals
1. Document Diverse Experiences: To capture the diversity of women's lives in Wales, including women from various cultural, social, economic, and generational backgrounds.
2. Celebrate Welsh Identity: To illustrate how women shape and contribute to the identity of Wales, both in traditional contexts and contemporary settings.
3. Promote Empowerment: To create a visual space where women can be seen and heard in ways that challenge stereotypical portrayals and encourage empowerment and self expression.
4. Create Lasting Impact: To produce a photography series that has a meaningful and lasting impact, sparking conversation about gender, identity, and culture in Wales, while also providing women with a platform to share their personal stories.
Photographic Approach
The project will consist of a variety of environmental portraits, studio portraits and documentary images. Each portrait will be accompanied by a brief narrative or interview with the subject, offering insight into her relationship with Wales, and her experiences as a woman in her community.
The shoot locations will vary: the aim will be to allow a visual narrative to be shown. For this, each location will be different for each subject. The diversity in settings will mirror the multifaceted lives of women across the country.
A plan for final images will be discussed with each person who chooses to take part to ensure they have as much input as the photographer.
Selection of Subjects
The subjects of the portraits will not be limited, the project aim is to document Wales and the women who live there or are from there. A wide-ranging outreach effort will be undertaken to invite women and people who identify as female from various ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds to participate.
This can include:
• Women of different ages
